Shipping Policy

This page applies to every package sent to a US address from an order placed on prettypettymerch.com, from the moment the order counts to the moment the carrier scans it as delivered.

Once the package reaches US customs

Import duties: the customs charges a country collects on goods arriving from abroad. For a PrettyPettyMerch package they are settled before the package lands in the United States, so the carrier has nothing to collect from you. Nothing is due at the door. If a driver or a text message asks you to pay a customs fee or a release fee before handing over a PrettyPettyMerch package, do not pay it, keep the message and forward it to support, which will take the matter up with the carrier the same business day.

Once an order reaches the partner in China

Point of dispatch: the place a package physically leaves on its way to you. Every PrettyPettyMerch bag is packed and dispatched by our partner’s facility in China, the same origin that the product data sent to Google carries. The company behind the store, TEJA TRIPLETT FUNY LLC, sits in Maywood, Illinois and keeps no bags there, so no package ever starts in Illinois.

Once the partner books the carrier

Carrier: the delivery company that moves the package. The partner books a cross-border service for the long leg and a US carrier for the last leg to your door, and the dispatch email names the service used. You cannot pick a carrier at checkout. A faster service is not sold on this site, so a request for express delivery cannot be filled.

Until the first scan appears

Tracking number: the code the carrier uses to log each scan of your package. It comes by email the day the package is dispatched, together with the carrier’s name. Allow up to 5 business days for the first scan to show. During that gap the package is on a plane or waiting for a customs scan, and the tracking page can look empty even though the package is moving. Check the page on the carrier’s own site or on our Order Tracking page.

Until 4:00 PM Central Time on a business day

Daily cutoff: the time of day after which an order counts as the next business day’s order. Here it falls at 4:00 PM Central Time on each weekday. An order paid at 11:15 AM Central Time on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026 counts that day. An order paid at 6:40 PM Central Time on Friday, Nov. 6 counts on Monday, Nov. 9, and so does an order paid on Saturday, Nov. 7.

Once the order counts

Packing time: the business days the partner needs to pick, pack and dispatch the bag. Allow 2 to 3 business days, starting the business day after the order counts. The Tuesday, Oct. 27 order above is dispatched on Thursday, Oct. 29 or Friday, Oct. 30.

Once the package is dispatched

Transit time: the business days between dispatch and the delivered scan. Allow 10 to 12 business days for the flight, the customs scan on arrival and the US carrier’s final leg. Weekends do not count.

Once packing and transit are added together

Delivery estimate: packing time plus transit time, counted in business days starting the day after the order counts. The total is 12 to 15 business days. The Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026 order arrives between Friday, Nov. 13 and Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2026, with Veterans Day on Nov. 11 already left out of the count. An order that counts on Monday, Nov. 2 arrives between Nov. 19 and Nov. 24. Plan around the slow end of the range.

If the address is in the lower 48 or Washington, DC

Delivery area: the places a PrettyPettyMerch package can be sent. Street addresses in the 48 connected states and in Washington, DC qualify; no other address does. Checkout shows the shipping options only for those places.

Unless the address is a street address

Street address: a house or building number with a street name, where a carrier can hand over or leave a package. PO Boxes and the military APO, FPO and DPO addresses are not street addresses and cannot receive a PrettyPettyMerch package. Checkout cannot tell a PO Box from a street when you type it into the address line. If one slips through, support emails you within 1 business day for a street address, and an order still lacking one after 3 business days is cancelled with the whole payment returned.

If the address is in Alaska, Hawaii or a US territory

Excluded area: a part of the United States the carriers used by the partner do not serve on the route offered here. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Guam and every other US territory are excluded, and checkout offers no shipping option for them. An order for those places cannot be completed.

Unless the subtotal reaches $69

Shipping charge: the single line added to the bags at checkout. It is $5.90 when the merchandise subtotal is under $69 and $0 when the subtotal is $69 or more, which checkout shows as free delivery. The Women’s Mini Faux Leather Phone Crossbody Bag in Brown at $11.99 costs $17.89 delivered. The Women’s Glossy Faux Leather Hobo Bag in Burgundy at $38.99 together with the Women’s Soft Faux Leather Satchel Tote in Cream at $20.99 comes to $59.98, so $5.90 is added and the amount due is $65.88. Add the Women’s Faux Leather Crescent Shoulder Bag in Coffee Brown at $15.99 and the subtotal becomes $75.97, with free delivery.

If a discount or a tax line changes the subtotal

Merchandise subtotal: the sum of the bag prices after any discount and before any tax. No discount codes run on this site and no sales tax is added, so today the subtotal equals the bag prices added together. Three bags at $25.99, $25.99 and $15.99 add up to $67.97, which is $1.03 short of the line, so the $5.90 applies and the amount due is $73.87. There is no handling charge, no packaging charge and no insurance charge on any order.

Whenever a sales tax line is expected

Sales tax: a percentage a state or city adds to a retail sale. Checkout on prettypettymerch.com adds none, so the amount due is the bags plus the $5.90 charge when one applies. Any change to that is posted here and switched on at checkout together, with no order charged under a new rule before this page says so.

Whenever two bags travel separately

Split delivery: one order sent as two or more packages. The partner may pack two bags separately, and each package then has its own tracking number in its own email. You pay nothing extra for the second package. Count the 12 to 15 business days for each package from the same order day.

Until 9 hours have passed since the order

Change window: the time during which the delivery address can still be corrected or the order cancelled. It lasts 9 hours from the moment the order is placed, as long as the package has not been dispatched. Send support the confirmation number plus the corrected address, or a single word, cancel. A cancelled order gets its money back within 3 business days. After the window the package is being packed or is already moving, and a change of address has to wait for the carrier, who may or may not allow it.

If the bag turns out to be out of stock

Stock check: the partner’s confirmation that the bag you paid for is on the shelf. If the check fails, support emails you within 1 business day and lays out three options: a later dispatch date, a swap to another bag priced the same, or the whole payment back. Pick one by reply. Silence for 3 business days means the whole payment back.

If dispatch slips past 3 business days

Late dispatch: a package not handed to the carrier by the third business day after the order counts. Support emails you before that day ends with a new date. You may wait, or you may cancel for a full refund issued within 3 business days, as the FTC’s mail-order rule (16 CFR Part 435) provides.

Whenever a US federal holiday falls in the count

Business day: Monday through Friday, except US federal holidays. The holidays left in 2026 are Veterans Day on Wednesday, Nov. 11, Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 26 and Christmas on Friday, Dec. 25; early 2027 brings New Year’s Day on Jan. 1, Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 18 and Presidents’ Day on Feb. 15. The full list is published by the US Office of Personnel Management at opm.gov. An order that counts on Tuesday, Nov. 10 is dispatched on Friday, Nov. 13 or Monday, Nov. 16, since Nov. 11 is skipped.

If the bag is a Christmas gift

Christmas line: the last order day that still lands before Dec. 24. Order by 4:00 PM Central Time on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2026. Even at the slow end of 15 business days, with Thanksgiving skipped, that package arrives by Wednesday, Dec. 23. An order placed after that day may still arrive in time, but no promise is made for it. This line comes down on Dec. 26, 2026.

If the delivered scan comes before the package

Delivered scan: the carrier’s record that the package was handed over or left at the address. Look around the entrance, in the mailbox and with the neighbors or the building manager. Wait 2 business days, since carriers sometimes scan a package before the final stop. Then email support no later than 14 days after the delivered scan. Support asks the carrier for the delivery details and answers within 3 business days; a package that stays missing is replaced or the whole payment returned.

Whenever tracking stops moving

Stalled tracking: a tracking page with no new scan for 9 business days. Email support with the confirmation number. Support asks the carrier to trace it. Should 6 business days pass from that request without the package turning up, pick a replacement or the whole payment back. A package whose last scan was on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026 reaches the trace on Tuesday, Nov. 17, and the answer is due by Wednesday, Nov. 25.

If the package arrives damaged or never arrives

Damage report: photos of the bag, of its inside tag or label and of the package, sent to support within 14 days of delivery. A torn seam, a broken zipper, a scuffed panel or a bent frame all count. When the carrier declares the package lost, or when a trace has run 6 business days without finding it, the package is replaced or the whole payment returned, whichever you prefer. What becomes of the damaged bag is covered by the Refund and Returns Policy; in most cases you keep it.

Once support has your report and photos

Decision time: the business days between a complete report and the answer. It is 3 business days at most. The answer names the fix, the date to expect it and whether anything has to be sent back. A report without photos waits until the photos arrive.

If a handling fee is expected

Handling fee: an extra charge for preparing an order. There is none. The amount due is the bags plus the shipping charge, if the subtotal is under $69, and nothing else.

Whenever weather or a holiday slows the carrier

Outside delay: a hold-up that neither the partner nor the carrier controls. Storms, customs inspections, carrier backlogs in December and the partner’s closure for China’s public holidays all stretch the estimate. The long closure ahead is the Spring Festival around Chinese New Year on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2027; an order that lands in a closure waits for the reopening day, and its packing count begins there. Support cannot speed a package through customs, but it watches the tracking with you and applies the stalled tracking rule above.

If the bag has to go back

Return: a bag sent back within 30 days of delivery under the Refund and Returns Policy. That page has the condition rules, the address to use, who pays the postage and the 7 business days for the money back.
